BUYECO Gets a Fresh Look

For 10 years, BUYECO has proudly supported the development of renewable energies alongside more than a thousand electricity producers throughout Switzerland.

We are excited to announce that our mission continues with the modernization and simplification of our web interface, buyeco.ch. Our objective remains unchanged: to facilitate the purchase and sale of Guarantee of Origin (GO) certificates.

The GO market is experiencing rapid growth, leading to new challenges such as price volatility for producers and increased complexity due to the proliferation of small installations for buyers.

To address these challenges, we have enhanced our offerings:

1. We are expanding our product range to facilitate bulk purchasing of GOs from small installations. Next week, auctions for 2023 GOs will be held (make sure to receive notifications by subscribing to alerts).
2. Account registration and validation are now simplified.
3. To improve platform efficiency, all bids are now firm by default, and the most competitive offers will be automatically selected.
4. Our compensation system is now simplified with a flat 10% commission on all GO purchases. The 5% "trader" pricing for listings is replaced by a volume-based declining commission. The platform and GO sales remain entirely free for producers.
5. Our range of paid services now includes: transfer and cancellation of Guarantee of Origin on Pronovo, organization of bids, audit on Guarantee of Origin requirements, and publication of a detailed report for marketing purposes.
