How to Check the Available Guarantees of Origin on shkn.pronovo.ch

To transfer Guarantees of Origin yourself within Switzerland, you need an account in the shkn.pronovo.ch register. This page guides you through logging in, accessing account reports, and viewing available GOs for a specific period.

If you do not yet have an account in the shkn.pronovo.ch register, you have three options:

  1. Create an account: https://pronovo.ch/de/unternehmen/kontakt/
  2. If you are an end consumer: mandate BUYECO to transfer and cancel your Guarantees of Origin info@buyeco.ch
  3. If you are a producer: delegate the management of your Guarantees of Origin to BUYECO

Step 1 — Open the Login Page

Go to the Pronovo portal for the GO-CH system: https://shkn.pronovo.ch.

Step 2 — Navigate to Reports → Account → Account Status

After logging in, choose the Reports section from the main menu. In the dropdown menu, select Account... → Account Status.

Tip: if your profile includes several roles (e.g. trader / producer), make sure to select the correct one to see the relevant accounts.

Step 3 — Set the Selection Criteria (Production Period)

On the Set Selection Criteria screen, you can filter by installation, canton, technology code, etc. To view all available HKN for a given period, set the fields from and to for the production period.

  1. Select the production period “from” (month.year start).
  2. Select the production period “to” (month.year end).
  3. Optional: filter by technology code or guarantee type group.
  4. Enable XLSX export if you want to create a downloadable file.
  5. Click Continue to execute the search.

Step 4 — Read the Results Table

After running the search, the page displays the Account Status section with a table containing:

  • Technology code (e.g. hydropower)
  • Support type (e.g. No support)
  • Guarantee type group (e.g. GO)
  • Production period (reference month)
  • Quantity (kWh) available

If the table is empty: check the selected period, the filters applied, and your role. You may also try a wider period (e.g. a full year).

Practical Tips

  • Exporting: if you intend to analyse or archive, enable Create XLSX file before clicking Continue.

  • Logs and timestamps: the page displays an evaluation date — keep it for traceability.
